'Best School Food'
Ardvreck was delighted to be win 'Best School Food' at the award ceremony held by Tatler at the launch of the Tatler's Good Schools Guide 2011. Peter Sutton accepted a silver serving spoon on behalf of the School which was later presented to Alison Brown, Ardvreck's head of catering, and baker of the now famous Victoria Sponge. Daddy's big school prize (and some old rocker called Mick)
Sir Mick Jagger found himself caught up in the Tatler School Awards at Claridge’s last night. Although he has sent his own children to private school, he was not attending as a guest but was hanging about in the foyer with a small entourage, when he was accosted by Flora Sutton, aged three, who announced: “My daddy won a prize.” Flora’s father is Peter Sutton, head of Ardvreck prep school in Perthshire, which won the best school food prize.After a brief exchange with Flora, Jagger was swept away in a limo.Ardvreck’s prize was for its sponge cake. Winchester was named public school of the year, while Cothill House in Oxfordshire was voted prep school of the year.
