'A K' Miller CBE BA
Appointed Governor 2000-2003 and Chairman July 2007. Three children at Ardvreck 1992-2002. After Harrow School and Durham University, served in the Regular Army (Argylls) 1973-2007 and currently Chief Executive Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association. Interests include sailing, skiing, game shooting and military history. Lives in Gleneagles.

Andrew Hunter BA
Appointed Governor 2008. Headmaster, Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, previously Teacher of English and Housemaster of Army House, Bradfield School, Berkshire. Attended Kenton College Prep, Aldenham School and Manchester University. Married to Barbara with 3 Children: Edward (20); Oliver (18) and Laura (17). County squash, tennis and hockey player in a former life, interests now include jogging and reading.

Dominique MacLellan
Appointed Governor 2008. Dominique is the mother of four sons, two of whom are currently at Ardvreck. Having taught in mainstream schools in London for 12 years, she specialised in Specific Learning Difficulties/Dyslexia and taught individuals until she moved to Scotland in 1996. Appointed Justice of the Peace in 2000 sitting in Inverclyde. Her interests include ski-ing, tennis, riding and fishing. Lives in Renfrewshire.

Donald Farquharson
Appointed Governor 2009. Married to Catriona. Three children, two currently at Ardvreck, one a former pupil. Educated at Fettes College, St Andrews University, American University in Cairo and Emory University. Worked for Schroders for 20 years and now an investment manager at Baillie Gifford & Co in Edinburgh. Enjoys travel and all sports - increasingly as a spectator! Lives in Aberdeenshire.

Elspeth Carmichael
Appointed Governor 2010.Elspeth and her husband, Tim, have three children who all went to Ardvreck between 1997 and 2008, the last having been a day boy, then a boarder. They are a military family and have had many postings abroad, but are now living near Crieff. Elspeth is a midwife and works in Dundee. Her interests include travel, food, skiing, and gardening.

Fi Troughton
Appointed Governor 2010. Educated at St George's Edinburgh and St Andrews University, Fi has four children all educated at Ardvreck between 1998-2008, and all of whom have progressed on to Oundle. Having lived and worked in Hong Kong before settling in Angus, she is the Chairman for the Angus Children's Panel. She is married to Ed. Her interests include travelling, outdoor pursuits and the decorative arts.

Jamie Landale
Appointed Governor 2010. Educated at Gordonstoun School and the Royal Agricultural College. Jamie worked for thirteen years for various publishing companies in the Far East and London before settling in Perthshire where he established Wilde Thyme Catering and Event Management in 2003 which he recently sold. Married to Miranda, he currently has three children at Ardvreck where they have all been since nursery. His interests include fishing, shooting, stalking and travelling.
