Ardvreck is a thriving, independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-13. With day and full boarding provision from 7 to 13, the school also runs Little Ardvreck which caters to the individual needs of the 3-7 year olds.
Ardvreck is competitive yet compassionate and seeks to unlock the potential in every child. We give each pupil the confidence and self-belief to discover their talents whilst our enriching curriculum helps to inspire a real love of learning and enquiry that goes beyond the classroom.
More importantly, we try to ensure that each child is happy and secure whilst feeling valued and empowered. A sense of service lies at the heart of our school community and pupils at Ardvreck are invariably kind, courteous, hard-working and well-mannered.
I hope that you will find our website to be enlightening and informative, and that it will encourage you to visit the school. Our pupils and staff would be delighted to welcome you and we hope that you will be able to capture the spirit of this happy and special school.
Richard Harvey, Headmaster

Small is Beautiful ....
A small school means that each child gets to have a go and not get lost in the crowd, thus enabling the child to grow in confidence, independence and ability. A small school is able to be nurturing and inclusive and prepares children for the rigours of life in a senior school. A small school means there is less to hide behind and allows each child to contribute to their class, team and house. A small school ensures a child has a 'real childhood' where they feel safe in the intimate surroundings. A small school can bring learning alive by combining it with outdoor fun - and with smaller numbers it is easier to do. So say the Heads of the UK's leading small schools.
