Barvicks

Since the earliest beginnings of the School 125 years ago, pupils have been involved in expeditions, known as Barvicks, to explore the local countryside. The whole school (from the youngest to the eldest pupil) is involved in these expeditions, which take place on four Saturdays throughout the first half of the autumn and the summer term.

Expeditions may be as simple walks heading out from school exploring the stunning local Strathearn countryside. Glen Lednock, in Comrie, is a local favourite, but there are other really good local tracks to the Barvick Falls, Puddocks' Pond and by Foulford to name just a few. Senior pupils often take trips further afield to scale the heights of local Munros such as Beinn Ghlas, Ben Chonzie, Ben Vorlich and Ben Lui.
