Scottish Country Dancing

Learning about our country’s history and culture is very important and this is why Scottish Country Dancing plays an important part in the curriculum at Ardvreck. In their first three years at school the pupils have formal dancing lessons within the timetable. After that lessons are less formal but the children are able to practice their dancing skills at a variety of school events. By the end of their time at Ardvreck pupils are able to dance most of the popular Scottish dances and they are able to enjoy themselves at dancing events both at school and in the wider community.

Modern Dance is also available as an extra activity.
