Little Ardvreck 

Little Ardvreck is a lively department for day children aged between 3 and 7 years of age. Class sizes are small which means that the learning experience is very intimate and the children quickly develop a sense of self-discipline coupled with good manners.  Little Ardvreck's school day runs from 8.30am to 3.15pm and we also offer an After School Club.  Homemade lunch and snacks are included. 

Montessori mornings are held each Monday and Thursday for children aged 3 and 4.   These mornings give the children the opportunity for hands on learning and include nature walks, gardening, campfires, potter and story telling.

As well as the traditional subjects, the children have the opportunity to take part in lots of creative activities including Scottish country dancing, French,  ICT, drama, danace and art.  In addition to this we regularly make the most of the extensive school grounds by taking the children outside to enjoy the woodland environment and getting grubby.  Little Ardvreck also makes use of the outdoor classroom, swimming pool and sports hall.

From day one children have the opportunity to take part in a wide selection of sports including hockey, swimming, rugby, netball and tennis and we also make use of a local dry ski slope. If a child is musical they can begin instrument tuition from the age of five.  All pupils in Little Ardvreck take part in a group violin lesson.

Little Ardvreck children are very much part of the school community. They are members of the school house system and work hard to earn points for their houses. They are in constant contact with the senior children in the school and look forward to the regular visits of the older children when work is carried out together.

Fees are £1819 per term or £380 per term for two Montessori mornings per week.  £566 per term is deducted for all pupils who attend the Kindergarten year on a full time basis (aged 4).  (This discount is equivalent to the pre-school council grant given to all children attending a registered partner provider nursery in Perth & Kinross.)
