At Ardvreck we believe that rugby provides boys with a learning environment rich in the values that reflect the ethos of the school.

Rugby at Ardvreck promotes fitness, teamwork, courage, discipline, sportsmanship, self-confidence and outstanding skill.

There are opportunities for boys of all ages and all abilities to enjoy playing in competitive teams. From the 8-a-side Under 9 team to the 2nd and 1st XVs, boys are encouraged to approach every aspect of the game positively, from training to winning or losing, from team camaraderie to sociable and well-deserved match teas.

Each year a Scottish Prep Schools' team is selected from the nine prep schools. Ardvreck boys have contributed heartily, with 42 selections in the last seven years, including three as captains.
