The bus route from Aberfeldy has been essential to our family. It enabled them to be day girls although they’re begging to board as they’ve loved their ad hoc boarding. Ardvreck has beyond exceeded my expectations for our girls, not least the incredible Ard-e Education they’ve just experienced for the last 10 weeks which meant we were able to still work in working hours and know they were being well looked after. Amazing!

Seamless online schooling during lockdown. First class.

Couldn’t agree more- Ardvreck solidly supported our whole family, while we worked long hours to run a very demanding family business. Our daughter emerged confident, stimulated, happy and academically pushed to achieve even beyond what we hoped for her. This resulted in no “absent working parent” guilt trip for us. Happy children = happy parents = successful business.

Our virtual sports day went down a storm, rounding off the end of our Ard-e term spectacularly! Our families and teachers all entered into the spirit of the races - sporting house colours - and enjoyed picnics al fresco. Afterwards, in a live final assembly, we enjoyed watching the annual duck race! #sportsday #competitivespirits #onlyatardvreck

Wonderful to see so many families fully engaged and enjoying your virtual sports day!!

Great! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🥇

STOP PRESS! From marvellous masterpieces to making headlines! Charlie made the front page of The Scottish Farmer this morning. For his recreation of a famous artwork, Charlie remembered a trip when he saw the Duke of Wellington statue in Glasgow. He combined this with a photograph of himself in place of the Duke, astride his pig, Chloe. He digitally removed the horse’s head and blended his two photographs together...all whilst continuing to keep on top of his farm chores. Blended learning at its best. #ardartist #youngartist #youngfarmer #farmlife #familyfarming #lockdownlearning #digitalmanipulationskills #thanksforyourhelpmum #gochloe #thescottishfarmer #frontpagenews #coverstory #blendedlearning #onlyatardvreck

Thanks must go to those at home, who supported their children with these creations. From the youngest of our pupils all the way up to Form 6, they have continued to amaze us with their marvellous masterpieces. Who knows where this could take them? #ardartists #expressyourself #storytellers #creativearts #confidentindividuals #onlyatardvreck #onlyartardvreck #ArdvreckArt

These are brilliant. Well done all. I’m guessing there might have been something tasty inside the trumpet to keep the dog there.

WELCOME FROM THE HEADMISTRESS

Welcome to Ardvreck School’s website. Our magical school on the hill is a truly unique community where the spirit of achievement and educational adventure cannot be equalled. Our inspirational teachers and staff body are committed to making each and every child outstanding, within a caring environment, where the timeless principles of integrity, resilience and traditional values are at its heart.

Words and photographs are not enough to convey the vitality and sparkle to be found only at Ardvreck and I urge you to arrange a visit to experience it at first hand. We can guarantee a very warm welcome.

EXCELLENCE

Our mission is to educate children who are outstanding in every respect. Not only are all pupils encouraged to push themselves in the classroom, on the sports field, in the school play, in the pipe-band, orchestra or choir but to develop excellent social skills and manners which are essential in life.

ADVENTURE

Ardvreck is, by definition, an exciting and remarkable experience – an adventure! The curriculum is filled from top to bottom with action packed lessons, expeditions, musical and drama extravaganzas which ensure that, when the pupils move on to senior school, their shared memories and friendships will last a life time.

COMMITMENT

Ardvreck is committed to preparing our pupils for life by nurturing a tenacious approach to their learning. From a young age, we ensure that each pupil learns the skills of perseverance so they can achieve their own personal goals along with committing and upholding the wider values of the Ardvreck community.

COMMUNITY

The shared values of the Ardvreck community have, and will continue, to develop boys and girls who are confident and articulate contributors to society. A communal spirit permeates the school be it at lunch where staff and pupils dine together or at daily, whole school assemblies and congregational singing.

CARE

We encourage our pupils to take risks with their learning through the development of a growth mindset. This approach to learning needs a safety net of care which is not only provided by the teachers and matrons but which comes from the pupils themselves, supporting each other through their Ardvreck journey.

INTEGRITY

Our ethos is to instil the core principles of honesty, sense of duty and sound moral judgement. We take our responsibilities seriously by teaching each pupil that the umpire’s decision is final and that, in life, being truthful to oneself is one of the most important qualities for success.
