Ardvreck Embarks on a New Adventure

Ardvreck School, a long established independent boarding and day prep school for boys and girls aged 3–13, is expanding its Nursery to provide an exceptional educational start for more children.

The school, known for its sense of adventure and creativity, has announced its expansion plans to open a new, specially designed Nursery school within its campus of over 40 stunning acres. The child-focused Nursery building will provide a unique educational space for up to 30 children, due to open next term.

Children who attend this innovative and outdoorsy Nursery will enjoy full-time, wrap-around care: Ardvreck Nursery will remain open throughout school holidays and bank holidays, ensuring little disruption to parents’ work schedules. During holiday periods the care will be extended to children from the surrounding area to provide a fun holiday club facility.

When the facility is opened, the school will be working in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council to assist parents with the statutory nursery provision.

The Nursery children will benefit from full access to Ardvreck’s beautiful grounds and educational resources, including its adventure course, swimming pool and the many talented specialist teachers who will be inspiring their young minds with Art, Music, Science and French. Children will be able to play and explore in the famous dams and dens and the extensive green areas, allowing them to thrive in a healthy environment surrounded by nature which encourages them to make the most of their precious childhood years.

Additionally, Ardvreck School has a fleet of modern vehicles for transporting their pupils which parents of Nursery school children are welcome to utilise to assist with the daily school run. While the buses are used for the morning and evening school runs, during the day they are utilised for taking pupils on trips, challenges and adventures.

Ardvreck’s Headmistress, Mrs Ali Kinge, says

Ardvreck is the school all grown-ups wish they had attended as a child and we are thrilled to be able to present this wonderful opportunity to more Perthshire families.

As a small and cosy school all children are valued as individuals and Ardvreck’s teachers work hard to ensure that all of their pupils’ needs are met. Unlike larger school, they are able to adopt a compassionate approach to the interests and academic enthusiasms of each individual child, making Ardvreck School feel like a home away from home where children have fun, feel happy, loved, valued and nurtured.
